What is Um Base, in one sentence?

A web workspace where you plan a video before you shoot it and see how it performed after you publish it. It connects to the Um Out panel that did the cutting in between.

Do I need it to use Um Out?

No. The Premiere panel is a complete product on its own and stays that way. Um Base is a second surface for people who want the planning and the numbers in the same place as the edit.

What will it cost?

Um Base is included with Um Out Plus. No separate subscription, no second thing to buy. Plus already covers the hosted AI, and this workspace is the other half of it.

Um Out Local is unaffected: it stays a one-off purchase covering the Premiere panel, exactly as sold. Um Base needs a service running behind it: polling, storage, model spend. That is why it sits with the plan that already carries those costs.

Does it upload my footage?

No. The panel keeps reading your media locally and sending only text. Um Base holds what you connect and what you type into it: channel statistics, plans, scripts, plus any thumbnail you explicitly send for review. Nothing syncs in the background.

Will I need a second account?

No. Um Base runs on a subdomain of umout.ai, which shares a session with the account API. Sign in once on the main site and you arrive already signed in. Sign out anywhere and you are signed out everywhere.

When can I use it?

There is no date, and one will not be invented here. Two parts of it depend on other people: publishing to YouTube needs an API audit, and storing channel data on a server needs Google verification. Both run on timelines nobody here controls.

The honest thing you can do today is use the panel. When this lands, it will already know what you cut.
